Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I park?

There is parking in front of the church, in the lot or on the street, and there is additional parking available behind the church. (Drive between the gym and the church.)

What should I wear?

First, we want you to know that you are welcome to come as you are. There is not a dress code. The focus of our worship service is the Lord, not ourselves. Our main goal is that you feel welcome on your visit with us.

But so you know what to expect, we do tend to put on our "Sunday Best" to worship on Sunday. Many of our men wear a coat and tie, and most of our women wear dresses.

Dress for mid-week services is more casual.

Is there a nursery?

A nursery is provided for children up to three years old. When you enter the foyer, the nursery is located down the hallway on the left. The nursery is the last door on the right.

Where do my children go?

During the Sunday morning service, children up to eleven may go to children's church. The kids initially meet with their parents in the main auditorium and then are dismissed after the song service.

What are the worship services like?

Our services could best be described as traditional. They consist of the kinds of things you see in the Bible when people gathered to worship God: Singing, praying, giving, reading scripture, and preaching.

Which Bible should I bring?

All preaching and Scripture reading is from the King James Bible. If you do not have a Bible please feel free to ask one of the ushers and they will be glad to give you one.

What about offerings?

During both Sunday services at Bay City Baptist Church, there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. This is an act of worship for the members of our church; as a guest, please do not feel any pressure to participate.

If this is your first time at Bay City Baptist Church, you will receive a visitors card, we ask that you fill that out and place that in the offering as it is passed around.
